Though the holiday weekend was busy, I squeezed in two listens. The first one is connected to Merch by Amazon, something Charlie and I have been looking at getting into as an additional source of revenue. As a designer I’ve got more artwork than I could use in a lifetime simply sitting around collecting dust, so this seems like a natural fit. We’re coming a bit late to the game but there still appears to be some great opportunity there. The second listen is connected to building out a channel on YouTube. Again, it’s something I’ve been looking at for awhile for the Agency as a way to share tutorials and research collected over the years for small business clients. Enjoy!
Episode 216 of The Side Hustle Show with show host and owner, Nick Loper, Merch by Amazon: $53k in T-Shirt Profits in 10 Hours a Week, shares a conversation Nick had with guest Elaine Heney of MerchEntrepreneur.com. It gives a nice introduction to the process of selling tee shirts on Amazon, and as always the show includes links to show notes and resources on Side Hustle Nation. If you’re not subscribed to the show yet, do it! Here’s a direct link to The Side Hustle Show on iTunes. While Nick pitches his show as a resource for side hustles for independents, his show offers great opportunity for small business owners to add additional revenue streams to an existing business.
Episode 74 of Video Creators with show host and owner, Tim Schmoyer, 3 Common Mistakes that Hinder New YouTube Creators, shares Tim’s tips and insights from years of working with YouTube creators. If you’re thinking about creating a channel or if you already have one and would like to know why it’s not performing as you’d hoped, this show episode is a good listen. Here’s a direct link to Video Creators on iTunes. This podcast is a mainstay in my listening library and I recommend it for yours too.
